MOSCOW, April 4 The realme company has launched sales of new models of smartphones in the 12 Pro line (12 Pro), which received a flagship periscope telephoto lens, a portrait telephoto camera, and a design in the style of a premium watch, the manufacturer’s press service reports.
The Russian presentation of new products, which will take place on the Kola Peninsula, at the northernmost continental point of the European part of Russia, became the first Arctic presentation of smartphones. The online presentation of (0+) new products will take place on April 4 at 19:00.
Advanced cameras
The new realme 12 Pro+ (12 Pro+) received a periscopic telephoto lens OmniVision OV64B 1/2 (Omnivision OuVi64Bi 1/2). Due to the complexity and high production cost of the technology, such lenses are usually only found on premium devices, but the realme 12 Pro series brings a flagship photography experience to the mid-range segment as well. The realme 12 Pro+'s periscope telephoto lens offers 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom, 120x digital zoom and a 71mm focal length, ideal for portraiture. It is powered by a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor with 4-in-1 pixel binning technology that delivers clear, detailed images even in low light or when shooting with zoom, the company said in a release.
“All modern flagship devices are equipped with periscope telephoto lenses, which allow you to take excellent quality photos even when zoomed in multiple times. However, these smartphones usually cost more than 100 thousand rubles and are unaffordable for most buyers. By combining an advanced periscope telephoto lens, the flagship Sony IMX890 main camera and an ultra-wide-angle lens, the system realme 12 Pro+ cameras cover the five most popular focal lengths without loss of quality: 0.6X, 1X, 2X, 3X and 6X.
Top telephoto lens
The “junior” model realme 12 Pro uses a Sony IMX709 sensor with a resolution of 32 megapixels, offering 2x optical zoom, which allows you to take portraits in the distance. In addition, the module supports intra-sensor 4x zoom without loss of quality. Sensors of similar size are usually used only in flagship-level devices, the manufacturer notes.
As the main module, realme 12 Pro received Sony IMX882 (IMX882) with a resolution of 50 megapixels, 4 in 1 binning technology and optical stabilization. 
In addition, smartphones are equipped with three special filters. They use the Cinematic Bokeh algorithm for portrait photography. This feature brings portrait photography to life by offering multiple background blur options to make the subject appear more dynamic and stand out in the frame. The ability to preview aperture settings in real time allows you to control depth of field.
The 12 Pro+'s Cinematic Portrait mode has a crop focal length equivalent to 80 millimeters. Also, the realme 12 Pro series smartphone cameras allow you to shoot in a widescreen ratio of 2.39:1 to create photos and videos in a classic cinema format without the need to crop frames, the report says.
Improving image quality
realme, in collaboration with Qualcomm, has improved image processing using the MasterShot algorithm. The realme 12 Pro series smartphones process files in RAW quality, delivering high accuracy, wide dynamic range, realistic portraits and increased image processing speed.
The new series is characterized by high performance. The realme 12 Pro+ model received an 8-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon® 7s Gen 2 processor with a peak frequency of 2.4 GHz for Cortex-A78 cores and 1.95 GHz for Cortex-A55 cores (Cortex-E55), complemented by the Adreno 710 graphics processor (Eidrino 710). It is equipped with a powerful image processing chip (ISP) and is a balanced solution in terms of performance, autonomy and image processing quality. The processor received 650-700 thousand points in AnTuTu (AnTuTu), the company reported.
The 12 Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon® 6 Gen 1 5G processor based on 4nm technology. The processor also has an 8-core architecture, and its peak frequency reaches up to 2.2 GHz for Cortex-A78 cores and 1.8 GHz for Cortex-A55 cores. The chipset scored 600-650 thousand points in AnTuTu.
The cooling system, which is based on the 3D VC Cooling System (3D VC Cooling System) vapor chamber, maintains the optimal temperature for maximum performance.

Design in the style of premium watches
realme Design Studio created the design of the 12 Pro series in collaboration with the famous French watchmaker Olivier Saveo, known for his work with the Swiss brands Rolex, Roger Dolby, Piaget, Breitling and Quentin (Quentin). As a result of this collaboration, elements of premium watches are adapted for smartphones: the camera is surrounded by a gold bezel with a texture consisting of 300 metal lines around the entire circumference, and the glass on the camera looks like a polished dial with more than 500 sunburst patterns with interweaving light and shadows .
The smartphones in the series also received a metal finish on the back panel. Its diamond-shaped pattern is reminiscent of the Jubilee watch bracelet, adding a touch of luxury to the device. The premium vegan leather casing combines durability and elegance in a design that's 30% softer than previous models and better able to withstand the elements. The durable case is complemented by protection against moisture and dust according to the IP65 standard (IP65) – a first for realme devices in Russia.
realme series colors The 12 Pro also takes cues from luxury watches. The smartphones come in two exquisite colors: Sea Blue and Sand Beige.
Immersive and vibrant screen
realme 12 Pro series smartphone users will be able to immerse themselves in their content with a 6.7-inch curved OLED display (OLED) with a 120Hz refresh rate, 93% screen-to-body ratio and a high peak brightness of 950 nits. The display displays a spectrum of 1.07 billion colors with 100% P3 (Pi3) color gamut, providing vivid and realistic images.
The 12 Pro series smartphones can be actively used all day long without worrying about the need to recharge: they are equipped with a capacious 5000 mAh battery and a powerful 67 W SUPERVOOC charger.
