MOSCOW, April 8 Doctors evacuate four victims of a bridge collapse in the Smolensk region — three of them will be taken to Moscow for treatment, reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Health.
«Doctors are evacuating four victims of the collapse of a road bridge in the Vyazemsky district of the Smolensk region. A team of specialists from the Federal Center for Disaster Medicine (FCMC) of the Russian Ministry of Health will deliver three of them for treatment to the federal centers of the Ministry of Health in Moscow, Another one will be taken to them by specialists from the Smolensk Regional Clinical Hospital,” the message says.

According to the Ministry of Health, 6 people were injured as a result of the bridge collapse, one of them died. Doctors evacuated five victims to the Vyazma central regional hospital: 4 of them are in serious condition, one is in a moderate condition, the press service specified.

The overpass collapsed in the city of Vyazma, Smolensk region on Monday, when, according to the State Emergency Service of the region, there were cars and trucks on it. The State Emergency Service clarified that one person died in the incident and five were hospitalized. According to the regional Ministry of Health, five victims of the overpass collapse in the Smolensk region are in serious or moderate condition, they have multiple injuries. Train traffic was suspended at the site of the overpass collapse in Vyazma, Smolensk region, the prosecutor's office organized an inspection, the Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office reported.
