Nissan's European offices have distributed a video teaser of a certain model. The name is not mentioned in the publications, but the Qashqai nameplate is visible in the frames: therefore, we are waiting for the premiere of a restyled SUV. Let us remind you that the current, third generation Qashqai debuted in 2021. In general, the model turned out to be successful. In the same Europe, at the end of 2023, according to statistics from JATO Dynamics, sales increased by 25% to 144,648 units (19th place in the overall list of “old world” bestsellers). For comparison, the Volkswagen Tiguan sold 141,140 units there over the same period (+22% and 20th place), the result of the Opel Mokka was 104,676 units. The bumpers will also be retouched. The dimensions most likely will not change much. The length of the current European crossover is 4425 mm, the wheelbase is 2665 mm. The interior will be updated with a virtual instrumentation and multimedia system. In addition, finishing materials can be replaced.

There is no information yet about whether the equipment will be updated. In Europe, the main focus is on hybrids; the current Nissan Qashqai has two such versions. “Simple” crossovers are mild hybrid, with a 1.3 petrol turbo-four (140 or 158 hp), a 12-volt starter-generator and a compact lithium-ion battery. Expensive options have a proprietary e-Power system: a 1.5 petrol turbo engine (157 hp) is not connected to the wheels, it works only as a generator, while the front wheels are driven by a 190-horsepower electric motor.
