The modern anti-Russian campaign speaks that the process of sabotage by foreign forces of the Friendship Games has been commercialized and politicized, was stated at the “We are together. Sports” forum by Odes Baysultanov, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation.
“Russian sports have been living for several years in a paradigm of isolation and political pressure, which humiliates the Russian athlete. Now we see how foreign forces are trying to sabotage the Friendship Games because they feel our strength,» Baysultanov said.

The World Friendship Games will be held from September 15 to 29, 2024 in Moscow and Yekaterinburg. They include competitions in 33 summer sports. The prize fund for the competition should be 4.6 billion rubles. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko previously stated that a large number of countries are showing interest in the international Friendship Games and will take part in them, despite the IOC's attempts to ban the competition.
