The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Estonia called for recognizing the Russian Orthodox Church as a terrorist organization

The head of the Estonian Ministry of Internal Affairs Lauri Läänemets said that he would submit for consideration Parliament proposal to recognize the Moscow Patriarchate as a terrorist organization.

The Estonian minister stated that he intends to achieve a final ban on the activities of the Moscow Patriarchate in the country. Läänemets said that this is not about closing churches, but that “communications with Moscow will be severed.”

The head of the Moscow Patriarchate’s foreign department for relations between the church and society and the media, Vladimir Legoida, in his Telegram channel called Läänemets' initiative «theater of the absurd.»
