The large electric single-volume LEVC L380 premiered in China, it will enter the Chinese market this year, and before its “native” UK will arrive in 2026.
LEVC is the British company London Electric Vehicle Company, which the Geely holding created in 2013, previously it was known as the London Taxi Company. Until recently, LEVC was a niche manufacturer of plug-in hybrid TX taxis and VN5 platform vans, using Volvo components and assemblies in their design. LEVC TX and LEVC VN5 are sold mainly in the UK, although there are left-hand drive versions for continental Europe and some Asian countries.

At the beginning of last year, the management of the Geely holding decided to turn LEVC into a large global commercial brand with a wide range of models. For the main family of vans and minivans LEVC, a modular platform SOA (Space Oriented Architecture) has been developed, which uses some elements of the SEA platform, well known from the passenger models of the Geely holding. The first production model of LEVC on the SOA platform will be a large minivan L380, seating up to 8 people, its premiere took place yesterday in China.
The premiere that took place in China has preliminary status, because prices for the LEVC L380 have not yet been announced, and all the technical details are not yet available. But the interior of the most luxurious 6-seater version of the minivan is shown in detail.

The basic version of the minivan has a single electric motor on the rear axle, its maximum output is 272 hp. and 343 Nm. The maximum total output of the all-wheel drive dual-engine version is 544 hp. and 686 Nm. The battery capacity produced by CATL is 116 or 140 kWh, the power reserve on one charge has not yet been announced.

The luxurious 6-seater version has a 2.18 m2 panoramic transparent roof and a powerful Yamaha audio system. The seats in the second and third rows are installed on common longitudinal rails 1.9 m long; these seats can be moved back and forth and thus customize the interior configuration. The most advantageous places are in the second row: they are equipped with individual entertainment monitors (attached to the backs of the front seats) and service screens in the armrests, through which you can control the functions of heating, ventilation, massage and other amenities.

The seats in the second and third rows are equipped with leg supports and a wide range of adjustments, allowing you to take a reclining position for sleeping. In general, the level of comfort in the LEVC L380 passenger seats, as the developers claim, corresponds to the first class of the Airbus A380 aircraft. The exterior design and name of the LEVC minivan also clearly hint at similarities with the Airbus A380.
Main competitors LEVC L380 in China, obviously, there will be aerodynamically focused electric minivans Li Mega and Xpeng X9, as well as the deliberately angular, but very comfortable Zeekr 009.
