Chery is closely following trends in the Chinese auto industry and is preparing to introduce a new product in the fast-growing segment of luxury electric minivans. The new model is known as the Exeed E08 and will debut in concept form next week at the Beijing Auto Show.
The Exeed brand, well-known in Russia, entered the home, Chinese market in 2018, it is positioned as a premium brand — a kind of Lexus from Chery. In its homeland, Exeed has not yet been properly promoted, it languishes in the middle peasants and is inferior in sales to such more successful young brands as Aion, AITO, Lynk & Co, Leapmotor, Zeekr and Nio. Last year, Chery decided to diversify the Exeed model range and created a new electric vehicle line, Sterra, within it, so far there are only two models — the Sterra ES sedan and the Sterra ET crossover, they are based on the new modular E0X platform.
Outside of China, Exeed Sterra models will be sold under a separate Exlantix brand, with Russia becoming one of the first markets for it, sales should begin next summer. The Luxeed brand appeared in China last year — this is a joint brainchild of Huawei and Chery with its own model range, the debut Luxeed S7 sedan is also built on the E0X platform. The Luxeed brand is not officially represented in Russia.
Today, the Exeed press service sent the first photos of the concept minivan with the E08 index to the Chinese media — this is obviously the future third model from the Sterra/Exlantix line. The Exeed E08 will premiere at the Beijing Auto Show. Unfortunately, there are no technical details about the minivan yet, but most likely it is also based on the E0X platform and has an all-electric powertrain.

Exeed E08 has a single-volume and very aerodynamic profile with a very monumental facade with elongated vertical sections of LED headlights and a giant trapezoidal illuminated pseudo-grille, similar to the Lexus LM grille. The rear of the Exeed E08 has a very intricate multi-level lighting system, and the sides surprise with giant rear doors that provide access to two passenger rows of seats at once — we are unlikely to see such doors on a production minivan.

2/2 Serial Exeed E08 will compete such acclaimed electric minivans as Li Mega, Xpeng X9, Zeekr 009 and the newly introduced LEVC L380. In the near future, another minivan and two new crossovers are expected in the Sterra/Exlantix model range.
