«The rise of water in the Ishim River in the area of the city has stopped. The level is as of 20.00 (18.00 Moscow time) — 1058 centimeters. Over the past 12 hours, a decrease of 6 centimeters,” the governor wrote.
As Moore emphasized, the wave is now moving further downstream. There are guards on duty in populated areas, and hundreds of thousands of sandbags are also ready to quickly strengthen dams and embankments if necessary.
The state of emergency in the Tyumen region was introduced on April 8, the peak of the flood is expected on April 23-25. The river level in the city of Ishim near the city of the same name on the night of April 20 exceeded a critical level. On Monday, the water level in Ishim began to slowly decline, but the Tobol, in turn, began an intensive rise in the area of the village of Korkino.
