MOSCOW, April 26Marike Beikirch (German film “Schlimazl”) was recognized as the best actress of the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF), the prize for best actor was given to actor Juan Ramon Lopez (film co-produced by Mexico and Qatar “Shame”), correspondent reports.
The awards ceremony takes place on Friday at the capital's Rossiya Theater.
“”Best actor – Juan Ramon Lopez, film Mexico, Qatar “Shame”,” said actress and jury member of the MIFF aspen competition Elena Lyadova.
Marike Beikirch became the best actress at the MIFF for her role in the German film “Schlimazzle”.
MIFF is one of the oldest festivals in the world, it was first held in 1935, the chairman of the jury was director Sergei Eisenstein. Since 1959, the festival began to be held regularly. Over the past 20 years, the festival jury has been headed by the world's largest filmmakers, including Richard Gere, Theo Angelopoulos, Alan Parker, Luc Besson, Hector Babenko, Kim Ki-duk.
