MOSCOW , April 26The film “Partners” by Spanish director Jose Maria Flores received a prize in the short film competition of the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF), the correspondent reports.
The awards ceremony takes place on Friday at the capital's Rossiya Theater.
“”Of course, it was difficult for us to choose one film that deserves the Grand Prix, however, after long discussions, we chose the winner. For the Grand Prix, we unanimously chose a film that shocked us from a technical and artistic point of view excellence, the Grand Prix of the 46th Moscow International Short Film Festival is awarded to the film “Partners,” said the chairman of the jury of the short film competition, director and screenwriter from Morocco Abdelila El-Jauhari.
MIFF is one of the oldest festivals in the world, it was first held in 1935, the chairman of the jury was director Sergei Eisenstein. Since 1959, the festival began to be held regularly. Over the past 20 years, the festival jury has been headed by the world's largest filmmakers, including Richard Gere, Theo Angelopoulos, Alan Parker, Luc Besson, Hector Babenko, Kim Ki-duk.
