MOSCOW, April 29 The jury of the Cannes Film Festival, which starts in two weeks, will be headed by the American Greta Gerwig, known as the director of the films “Lady Bird” and “Barbie”.
The Cannes Film Festival, already the 77th in a row, will be held from May 14 to 25 on the Cote d'Azur.
““In just fifteen years, Greta Gerwig has made a name for herself in American and international cinema. Her latest film “Barbie” (2023) became a global cultural phenomenon and a hit of the year,” says a communique from the festival organizers.
In addition to Gerwig, the film screening jury will include eight more people – four women and four men, including French actress Eva Green and Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda.
The winners of the festival will be announced on Saturday, May 25.
