MOSCOW, June 11The III festival of contemporary art “Territory. Krasnoyarsk” took place in Krasnoyarsk. It brought together high-profile metropolitan productions, premieres of regional theaters, modern choreography, a poetry slam and an exhibition of posters. For the first time, an interdisciplinary program was held within the framework of the forum.
The famous actress, art director of the festival “Territory. Krasnoyarsk” Yulia Peresild noted the importance of the project.

The Moscow Taganka Theater brought “Figaro” to Krasnoyarsk, a production by Denis Bokuradze, which became “a universal recipe for depression.” Yulia Peresild presented the performance-concert “Pappy Longstocking”, in which the music of Tikhon-Khrennikov Jr. and the Austro-Hungarian composer of Czech origin Julius Fucik was performed by the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra.
The capital's Stanislavsky Electrotheater brought “Cricket” to Krasnoyarsk: for this performance, the modern Russian poet Mikhail Chevega rewrote the absurdist fairy tales of the Dutch writer Toon Tellegen into poetry and transferred their action to Russia. And the production of “The End of a Beautiful Era” by Dmitry Serdyuk takes the viewer into the world of Joseph Brodsky’s poetry. At the festival, it was shown for the first time accompanied by the orchestra of the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater.
Poetry slam presented Ekaterina Troepolskaya and Andrei Rodionov, and the authors of the evening of modern choreography were famous choreographers Alexei Narutto, Olga Timoshenko, Ilya Romanov and the chief choreographer of the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theater Artem Ignatiev. The program, created specifically for the festival, combined two works: the already well-known play “Fish Choose Ice” and the new performance “Space of Parallel Interests”.
The festival also became the final of the ninth competition of theater groups “Polyus. Golden Season”. Theatres, youth creative associations and amateur troupes from the regions where the gold mining company Polyus is present could participate: Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk territories, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Irkutsk and Magadan regions. Six theaters included in the shortlist had the opportunity to come to the festival in Krasnoyarsk and, among other things, show their productions to a new audience.
Victoria Vasilyeva, the Director of Public Relations at Polyus, noted that nine years ago, when announcing a competition for regional theaters, there was a desire to contribute to the development of the Russian theater school as much as possible.

This project has become incredibly popular both among the professional community and thousands of spectators. We are glad that we were able to contribute contribution to improving the quality of life and conditions for creativity in the territories where the company operates,” said Vasilyeva.
The organizers paid special attention to the professional program, which takes place annually as part of the festival. This year, its participants included teams from six theaters that were shortlisted for the “Pole. Golden Season” competition, as well as 23 young theater professionals aged 18 to 35 from 10 Russian cities.
