Inspector of the Ministry of Natural Resources was beaten when discovering an illegal dump in Omsk

A specialist from the department of state environmental supervision of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Omsk region examined the territory near the Gornyak SNT in the Oktyabrsky district of Omsk. Local residents complained that unknown people were dumping waste into the quarry.

The inspector noticed two people unloading boards and construction waste from a car, and began filming the dumping of waste on camera. The driver and passenger of the car demanded that the recording be deleted and attacked the man — they took away the camera, twisted his arms and threw him to the ground. He was admitted to the hospital with a suspected broken ribs.

The Investigative Committee opened a case of violence against a government official (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code).

The Ministry of Natural Resources stated that this is already the second case of attack on inspectors within six months.
