The Korean company continues testing the new generation of its flagship crossover, and last month test samples were caught by spy photographers, thanks to which the opportunity to examine new details of its appearance.
Hyundai's largest crossover was first presented in November 2018, becoming the production version of the HDC-2 Grandmaster concept demonstrated in the summer of the same year. In 2022, the SUV received a restyling, during which it acquired a completely new front end. Now the model is awaiting a generation change, and camouflaged prototypes have already been spotted by spy photographers more than once.

So far, only a few parts of the body can be seen, but it is already clear that the styling of the body will be inspired by the new Santa Fe, which was first shown in July last year. The new Palisade has the same hidden front pillars and triangular windows in the front doors, as well as similar stampings above the wheel arches, except that in Palisade they are made shorter and do not go onto the doors. The arches themselves, which will now be round, will receive rounded overlays made of black plastic, in contrast to the angular overlays of the new Santa Fe. In the front, in fresh spy photos, characteristic running lights made of vertically aligned «cubes» are visible, the headlights are made quite large, between them there is a vertical radiator grille. Most likely, along the edge of the hood there will be an LED strip, as in many other new products of the company. The new Palisade will lose the wide pillars behind the rear doors, painted in the body color. Another element visible in the spy photos is the graphics of the lights, which echo the front optics.

There is no confirmed information about the technical features of the future crossover yet. It is expected that in addition to traditional versions, hybrid versions will also appear, and the gasoline engine will now be turbocharged. The current Palisade is equipped with naturally aspirated gasoline engines V6 3.5 MPI and V6 3.8 GDI in different markets, there is also a 2.2-liter turbodiesel.
