MOSCOW, July 1 Philadelphia Flyers signed a three-year contract a newcomer with Russian forward Matvey Michkov, according to the website of the National Hockey League (NHL) club.
The striker's annual salary will be 950 thousand dollars. Philadelphia selected the Russian seventh overall in the 2023 NHL Draft. On June 25, the St. Petersburg club of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) SKA announced the departure of the hockey player.

Michkov is 19 years old. Last season, the forward played on loan for Sochi, where he played 47 matches and scored 41 points (19 goals and 22 assists). He also played in one match for SKA. In total, he played 91 matches in the KHL and scored 66 goals (30+36).
In 2021, at the age of 16 years 339 days, Michkov became the youngest goal scorer in the history of the Russian and USSR national teams, renewing the achievement of Alexander Ovechkin.
