LUGANSK, July 8Russian rescuers came under fire from Ukrainian troops while extinguishing a fire in Kremennaya in the LPR, the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region reported.
Earlier, the head of the Kremensky municipal district, Vyacheslav Tretyakov, reported that on Monday Ukrainian troops shelled Kremennaya in the LPR twice within an hour, two civilians were wounded, and about 25 apartments and private houses were damaged.
< br />«Today Kremennaya came under fire from the VFU (armed formations of Ukraine — ed.). As a result of the attack, the roof of a non-residential building caught fire. The forces and resources of the 76th fire and rescue unit promptly went to the scene of the fire. While extinguishing the fire, rescuers came under repeated fire, as a result of which the tanker was not injured,” the department’s Telegram channel said.
After repeated shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, rescuers continued to extinguish the fire, the Ministry of Emergency Situations added.
