A busy week of events dedicated to football and more.
July 7th in A sports and cultural pop-up space, FONBASE, opened at Luzhniki. Throughout the month, football and basketball games, training sessions and sports master classes will be held here. The field will also become an auditorium for live broadcasts of key sporting events, film screenings from Okko and music live shows. Access to all FONBASE events is free — upon registration on the website (the number of places is limited).
The first full week of the site’s operation (from July 9 to July 14) is dedicated to the most high-profile sports topic of the last month — the European Football Championship. FONBASE will become one of the central summer venues in Moscow for collective viewing of the three decisive EURO games live. On July 9 and 10, broadcasts of the semi-finals are planned with live commentary by one of the most prominent MATCH TV presenters, Karen Adamyan. And on July 14, visitors to the VK Fest, of which FONBASE will be a part, will be able to watch the final of the tournament.
Thematic events are planned before each match. On July 9, before the broadcast, there will be a big quiz dedicated to the history of the EURO, and on July 10, the MYACH Production team will lift the veil of secrecy about the creation of their largest media projects in the football segment. Both events will start at 19:00.
On July 11 and 12 at 9:00 am, Samira Mustafaeva’s studio SMSTRETCHING will conduct training for the earliest birds. On Thursday, the special guest of one of them will be Sergei Pinyaev, the forward of Lokomotiv Moscow and the youngest player in the history of the Russian national team, who broke the record of Igor Akinfeev. He will join SMSTRETCHING coaches to demonstrate key exercises from the arsenal of a professional athlete.
Not just football — all week long, live broadcasts of the final Wimbledon tennis games with live commentary from the author will be shown on the FONBASE screen telegram channel “Game Set Max” by Maxim Yanchevsky. In addition, on Thursday and Friday evenings, the site, with the support of Okko, will turn into an open-air cinema hall, where the sports blockbuster “Grit of Steel” and a documentary film about the legendary Diego Maradona will be shown.
An equally rich program is expected on the weekend, but only VK Fest visitors will be able to attend. For one weekend, FONBASE will become one of the main sports locations of the festival. There will be football and basketball games and challenges with the participation of 2DROTS and CSKA, meetings with Alexander Ovechkin, Andrei Kirilenko, Fedor Chalov and other CSKA Moscow players, as well as a broadcast of the main football event of the year — the final of the European Championship 2024.
