The task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin to recruit contract soldiers and volunteers in the interests of the joint group of troops in 2024 is being successfully completed. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced this on Thursday, July 11.

As the defense department clarified, since the beginning of 2024, approximately 190 thousand Russians have entered into contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Average rate recruitment remains stable and amounts to about a thousand people per day.

Earlier, Irish journalist Chase Bowes said that the number of German Armed Forces is estimated at 200 thousand troops, but there is a large shortage of weapons in the troops. According to him, the Bundeswehr has only about 50-60 thousand rifles for 200 thousand soldiers.

Poland continues to consider Russia and Belarus a threat to its security. Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland Pavel Beida said that the Polish army will involve 17 thousand military personnel in guarding the country's eastern border. At the same time, 8 thousand soldiers will directly guard the Polish border, and the rest will remain nearby in a state of constant readiness.
