The crossover will be available with a choice of two turbo engines. Sales at home will start later this month. A model with this design can reach Russia.
Just yesterday, the Jetour brand (it belongs to Chery) distributed the first corporate images of the transformed X70 Plus SUV. And today, a price list of the model with characteristics has appeared on the Chinese consumer website of the brand, in addition, new pictures have been published. At the same time, local specialized media write that the start of sales is scheduled only for July 29, so the prices are apparently still preliminary. Let us remind you that the very first crossover with the X70 index debuted in 2018. Then the model was turned into a separate family — it includes cars with various attachments that differ in design. By the way, the hero of our news has been officially announced as a new generation (we are talking about the X70 Plus), although this is just another restyling.
The appearance of Plus is designed in a new corporate style, which was previously tried on by the older crossover Jetour X90 Pro. The main design features are a narrow LED strip under the edge of the hood and rectangular headlight units located below. This SUV also differs from other “seventies” by its radiator grille, and in addition, the rear bumper has quite massive chrome trims. When compared with previous versions of the X70 Plus, the dimensions have not changed: length – 4749 mm, width – 1900 mm, height – 1720 mm, wheelbase – 2745 mm. The model is available with 19- or 20-inch wheels.
A new scoreboard was installed inside — each display is 12.3 inches diagonal, while the rest of the Pluses have 10.25-inch screens. Another thing was the air deflectors. As before, the crossover comes with a five- or seven-seater interior. The list of equipment also includes (depending on the configuration) a panoramic sunroof, a “winter” package, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control.

On the Chinese website of the brand, the new Jetour X70 Plus has two engines – 1.5 TCI petrol turbo-four (156 hp, 230 Nm) and 1.5 TGDI (184 hp, 290 Nm). The first engine is combined with a six- or seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches, the second is paired only with 7DCT. The drive is exclusively front-wheel drive. Other Pluses in China also have a 156-horsepower engine (including a six-speed manual transmission), and they are also equipped with a 1.6T (197 hp, 290 Nm). The previous X70 Plus does not have a 1.5-liter 184-horsepower engine.
Prices on a separate model page now vary from 111,900 to 137,900 yuan (about 1.34 million — 1.65 million rubles at the current exchange rate). However, in general, the base price on the website is different — 105,900 yuan (1.27 million rubles). If this is not an error, then it is quite possible that the new Plus will still be available with a manual transmission.
In Russia today they also sell the Jetour X70 Plus crossover (in China it’s the X70 Pro), our model is presented with a 1.6 turbo engine (190 hp), 7DCT and front-wheel drive. And in the first quarter of next year, the Jetour brand plans to bring some fresh Plus to the Russian Federation: this SUV was highlighted on the presentation slide, and it is very similar to the model with a new design for China.
