The Seres brand, the exclusive distributor of which in the Russian Federation is the company JSC MB RUS, part of the AVTODOM Group of Companies, in July -September 2024 will hold the first road show in its history across Russia.
The road show program includes visits to 12 cities of the country. Ten hybrid crossovers — five Seres Aito M5 and five Seres Aito M7 — will have to cover a route exceeding 15,000 kilometers and spend more than 80 days on the road. Press conferences will be held in each of the visiting cities, and presentation events will be held at Seres brand dealerships for clients, potential clients and members of fan communities.
Representatives of the brand will talk about Seres Aito cars and share their expert opinion on how to maximize the benefits provided by a sequential hybrid power plant. Experts will also present in more detail the capabilities of intelligent systems that are equipped with Seres Aito hybrid models and which make driving more convenient and safe. More than a thousand compact test drives of the models participating in the road show — Seres Aito M5 and Seres Aito M7 — will be organized for more than 1,500 guests.
Seres Aito M5 and Seres Aito M7 are equipped with sequential hybrid power plants, thanks to which they have a significant (up to 1100-1200 km) autonomous range without recharging and refueling. Such a scheme made it possible to use all the advantages of an electric vehicle, primarily power and dynamics, and at the same time overcome the main concerns associated with electric vehicles — regarding the limited power reserve and the insufficient development and availability of charging infrastructure in Russia.
Thus, Seres Aito serial hybrids become a convenient means for traveling around the country; in regions with the least developed infrastructure, they can, in principle, do without external electrical recharging at all. Moreover, in cities where charging stations are available, such cars move in fully electric mode. For the Russian market, both models undergo maximum adaptation: all menus are Russified, support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration platforms is provided, which, in particular, ensures the availability of up-to-date navigation in the car. Crossovers are equipped with a winter package, which includes heated steering wheel, seats, mirrors, rear window and windshield washer nozzles. A European standard connector is used to charge the traction battery.
Even before the official presentation of the brand, which took place in April 2024, leading Seres engineers and MB RUS employees made a test drive from Moscow to St. Petersburg via Novosibirsk and Kazan to ensure that the Seres Aito M5 and Seres Aito M7 would meet customer expectations. Specialists studied their behavior in real conditions on Russian roads of varying quality, relying on the real infrastructure existing in Russia.
