MOSCOW, June 19 Honored Artist of Russia Maxim Averin said that his transfer from the Satire Theater troupe to Mark Zakharov's Lenkom is not related to a change in management; he will continue to play in both theaters.
Earlier, the director of the Lenkom Mark Zakharov Theatre, Mark Varshaver, announced that Averin had left the Satire Theatre for Lenkom.
“There was simply no place for me at the Theater of Satire under Gazarov (ex-artistic director of the theater Sergei Gazarov — ed.), there were no job offers. I learned about Evgeny Vladimirovich Gerasimov’s arrival at the theater when all negotiations with the management of the Lenkom Theater were completed “My decision to transfer is in no way connected with the arrival of Evgeny Vladimirovich, whom I have known and respected for a long time and wish him every success. I am glad that the Satire Theater has seriously strengthened with the arrival of a new artistic director and director,” said Averin, whose words are quoted by the Satire Theater. in his official VKontakte group.
The message added that Averin will continue to play in productions of the Satire Theater as a guest actor.
On the website of the mayor and government of Moscow in early June it was announced that People's Artist of Russia Evgeny Gerasimov will become the artistic director of the Moscow Academic Satire Theater. In addition to the new position, he retained the post of artistic director of the Theater on Malaya Ordynka. Later, the press service of the Satire Theater reported that Gerasimov came with his director Pavel Nestratov.
