MOSCOW, July 20. Seven civilians of Shebekino were injured during shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov said in the Telegram channel.
“The city of Shebekino was shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Seven civilians were wounded. Four victims received various shrapnel wounds as a result of a direct hit by a shell on the territory of an industrial enterprise, another woman was injured as a result of a direct hit by a shell on an apartment building,” he wrote.

All of them were taken to the Shebekino Central District Hospital, the governor added. Two more victims — a man with arm and stomach wounds and a woman with barotrauma — were sent to Belgorod Hospital No. 2.
According to Gladkov, during the shelling, windows in two apartment buildings were broken, balconies, facades and walls were damaged, and two apartments were seriously damaged. A fire started on a gas pipeline in one of the houses, but it was quickly extinguished.
On the territory of an industrial enterprise, an industrial building, a passage and one piece of special equipment were damaged. In addition, two commercial facilities, four cars and two more apartment buildings were damaged, the governor listed.
Information about the consequences is being clarified, operational and emergency services continue to work, he concluded.
Shebekinsky urban district borders Kharkov region and is constantly exposed to shelling. The city of Shebekino is located approximately four kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
