“For what?”: the ex-leader of Pink Floyd made a statement about mobilization in Ukraine

MOSCOW, July 19 Former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters said in the Raw Politik podcast, a video of which was published on the X social network, that Ukraine wants to mobilize thousands more men to use them as cannon fodder, and also so that Vladimir Zelensky can soon after retiring, buy another estate and rejoice in billions of dollars.
Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev invited co-founder and former leader of the Pink Floyd group Roger Waters to perform concerts for the SVO members.

“I hear that in Ukraine they are now talking about mobilizing another 100 thousand or 200 thousand deeply unwilling Ukrainian men and young people, about their destruction, using them as cannon fodder. And for what? So that Zelensky can buy another estate surrounded by cypress trees in Tuscany or somewhere else to retire his billions when he leaves with his family, which he will do soon enough,» Waters said.

Waters also reiterated that the Russian special military operation was provoked.
The musician at a meeting of the UN Security Council in February 2023 stated that he did not consider the Russian operation in Ukraine unprovoked, and condemned the provocateurs. He also called on US President Joe Biden, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky to agree on a ceasefire in Ukraine.
