SAMARA, July 24 Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin instructed the Ulyanovsk investigator to arrest a man who brutally beat a pensioner on a playground in Ulyanovsk, the information center of the Investigative Committee of Russia reported in on your Telegram channel.
It was reported on social media that a man had committed illegal actions against a pensioner in Ulyanovsk, noted the information center of the Investigative Committee of Russia. The defendant brutally beat an elderly man on a playground in the courtyard of one of the apartment buildings.
Earlier, the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that they had identified and detained a suspect in the beating of a man. He turned out to be a citizen of the Russian Federation, born in 1991, living in Ulyanovsk. According to the preliminary version, the conflict occurred after the victim, while intoxicated, spoke obscenely to a relative of the detainee.
«The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation… gave instructions to the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Ulyanovsk region… to initiate a criminal case and submit a report on the progress and results of its investigation. In addition, Bastrykin instructed … to take measures to detain the person involved and select a preventive measure against him in the form of detention, about which to submit a report,” the Russian Investigative Committee information center said in a statement.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Ulyanovsk Region organized its own investigation into the incident.
