Who blew up a security officer's car in Moscow was “convicted” while still on the flight to Turkey
The details of the capture of 29-year-old Evgeny Serebryakov, who planted an explosive device under the bottom of a Russian security officer’s car, became known in Thursday, July 25th. According to military expert, head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts Andrei Klintsevich, Turkish intelligence services could have taken him right at the airport, but did not do so intentionally.
Recall that Serebryakov booked a car sharing car at Bodrum airport. This allowed Turkish police to discover his location. Using CCTV cameras, they found a Russian driving out in a rented car. The police monitored his movements over 50 kilometers.
The Turkish special services carefully planned the place and time of the detention of the terrorist, whose identification was issued by the Russian FSB. During the investigative actions, it was found out that the “demolitionist” was going to purchase a sea vessel and escape on it to neighboring Greece.
According to military expert Andrei Klintsevich, most likely, our special services identified Serebryakov when the plane was in flight.
“We already knew that he was flying on this board,” says the expert. — He just managed to slip through at the airport before the border services received his information.
Accordingly, our special services promptly contacted the Turkish ones, and he was already met there. He could have been taken at the airport upon landing, but it was important to understand who would meet him, where he would arrive, and whether there were any other accomplices. We see that Turkish intelligence services have detained two people: the alleged terrorist himself and the driver. And now, of course, they will find out who the customers are, how communication was maintained, and whether there are other places that he planned to visit. And this is important for everyone, because terrorism is a common disease.
