KRASNOYARSK, July 26 The director of a construction company is accused of embezzling 51 million rubles during the construction of 60 waste collection sites in Norilsk; a criminal case has been opened, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Krasnoyarsk Krai reports. According to the investigation, in November 2022, the director of Profit LLC took on a contract to build 60 waste collection sites in the Central District of Norilsk. He later instructed his subordinate to prepare cost estimates and include an inflated volume of materials used. 
«»Knowing for certain that the construction work on the sites was carried out in violation of the terms of the contract and the estimate, and that the contract price was significantly inflated, (the defendant – ed.) provided the MBU «Department of Ecology» with notifications of the execution of the contract, after which he signed the act of acceptance of the work performed,» the report says.
Based on the documents, according to the Investigative Committee, the contractor was transferred 85 million rubles from the city budget, of which he stole more than 51 million.
«He is accused of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «fraud committed by a person using his official position, on an especially large scale,» the investigative bodies note.
The department clarifies that the issue of arresting the defendant is being decided.
