A tornado flipped and scattered planes at the Nizhnekamsk International Airport

A tornado scattered Diamond-43 light-engine training aircraft at the Nizhnekamsk International Airport in Tatarstan like cardboard toys. The hurricane wind also badly damaged a helicopter. Footage of the rampant elements appeared on Telegram channels.

It is reported that stationary structures were also hit by the elements — the cladding was torn off buildings, a fence and several trees fell. Preliminary, there are no casualties.

According to SHOT, the elements did not spare four Diamond-42 training aircraft of the St. Petersburg University of Civil Aviation.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Tatarstan warned that heavy precipitation would continue in the region until late in the evening of July 31, and wind gusts would reach 24 m/s.
