KALININGRAD, August 6 A criminal case has been opened after a teenager fell from the roof of a school under construction in the Gurevsky district near Kaliningrad, the press service of the regional Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reports.
According to investigators, the minor fell from the roof of a comprehensive school building under construction in the village of Lugovoe through a ventilation shaft onto the second floor and was hospitalized with multiple injuries. It was established that the victim worked at the construction site without officially formalizing his employment relationship.
«The Gurevsky Interdistrict Investigative Department has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of safety rules during construction or other work) regarding the injuries sustained by a 14-year-old teenager at a construction site in the village of Lugovoe in the Gurevsky Municipal District,» the statement said.
In connection with the criminal case, the crime scene was inspected, the necessary documentation was seized, a number of forensic examinations were ordered, witnesses are being questioned, and other investigative actions are being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime under investigation and identifying the person who will be charged.
