The Chinese brand Geely introduced the serial sedan Preface (the «celestial» name is Xingrui) on the domestic market in 2020. A couple of years later, the four-door underwent modernization, and in 2023, the company carried out a more serious update of this model. This version eventually went to other markets, and the first export region was the Middle East. Now Geely Preface is entering the Russian market: the model was officially announced for the Russian Federation at the end of last month.

Now the company has announced the prices of Geely Preface in the Russian Federation. It is known that the business sedan will be available in the country in two rich trim levels. The base one is Luxury, the recommended retail price of which is 2,999,990 rubles(when purchasing on credit and under the trade-in scheme, the starting price can be reduced to 2,699,990 rubles). The top version — Flagship — costs 3,217,990 rubles (taking into account current programs, you can buy for 2,867,990 rubles).
The Geely Preface is based on the CMA (Compact Modular Architecture) platform, which is a joint development with Volvo (the brand belongs to the Chinese holding). The overall length of the export version is 4825 mm, width — 1880 mm, height — 1469 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2800 mm. That is, in terms of size, this business sedan is close to the four-door Toyota Camry, previously produced in the Russian Federation.
The starting version of the sedan includes: LED optics, light and rain sensors, 17-inch wheels, heated windshield and washer nozzles, all-round cameras, six airbags, dual-zone climate control, separate air ducts for rear passengers, eco-leather interior trim, heated seats and steering wheel, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, as well as an infotainment system with a vertical 13.2-inch tablet.

The top version of the Geely Preface for the Russian Federation received black 18-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, lane keeping, road sign recognition and automatic switching of headlights from high to low beam, a highway driving assistant, as well as a front seat ventilation function and an acoustic system with 12 speakers, including a subwoofer and speakers integrated into the driver's headrest.

Geely Preface will be offered on the Russian market with a 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine. In the local specification, the maximum output of this engine is 200 hp, and the torque is 325 Nm. A seven-speed robot with two «wet» clutches is offered in tandem with this engine. The drive is front only. From zero to «hundreds» such a business sedan can accelerate in 7.1 seconds. There are four driving modes — Eco, Comfort, Sport and Smart.
Recall that today the Geely brand is one of the most popular in the Russian Federation. Over the past few months, its bestseller has been the Monjaro crossover. On its basis, the Renault Grand Koleos was created in partnership with the French company.
