Local residents told an Izvestia correspondent about a Ukrainian Armed Forces missile falling on a residential building in Kursk.

According to one of the residents, several less powerful explosions were heard before the most powerful explosion. At the very moment the missile fell, the apartment residents «jumped» from the blast wave.

As reported in the article, the fallen missile is similar in size to the Tochka-U. Experts are currently examining the missile debris. The nature of the damage to cars located near the site of the missile fall was also noted. The bodies of the cars are riddled with shrapnel, the vehicles themselves are completely burned, some of them are still smoking.

Earlier it became known that the shot down Ukrainian missile fell on a residential building in Kursk, this was reported by the acting governor of the Kursk region Alexey Smirnov on his Telegram channel. According to him, a fire broke out in the house. At least 13 people were injured, two of whom are in serious condition. At this minute, 45 people are known to have been evacuated. The facade of the building from the 1st to the 9th floor was destroyed, and some balconies were also destroyed. Rescuers and medics continue to work on the scene, the fire has been extinguished, and the load-bearing structures of the building are not damaged. Several cars located near the building burned. The authorities reported that assistance will be provided to residents of the damaged building and car owners.
