CHELYABINSK, Aug. 16 A JAC car and a Renault Kaptur collided in Chelyabinsk on Thursday evening, five people were injured, the press service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Russia for Chelyabinsk reported.
According to local media, the accident involved the regional legislative assembly deputy Dmitry Kleutin – he was in the JAC vehicle.
«The Chelyabinsk State Traffic Safety Inspectorate is establishing the circumstances of the accident that occurred on August 15 at 19.50 (17.50 Moscow time) near house 33 on Lenin Avenue. According to preliminary data, a collision occurred between a JAC and a Renault Kaptur driven by drivers born in 1983 and 1984,» the report says.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Renault Kaptur, a woman born in 1984, as well as a man, the driver of the JAC, and his three passengers were injured, the report specifies.
The press service of the regional legislative assembly was unable to clarify whether the deputy was injured in the accident.
According to the website of the Legislative Assembly, Dmitry Kleutin was elected as a deputy on September 13, 2020, and is the first deputy chairman of the committee on economic policy and entrepreneurship and deputy chairman of the committee on construction policy and housing and public utilities.
