MOSCOW, August 16 Barcelona assistant coach Thiago Alcantara has left the Spanish team's staff, the football club's website reported.
He will be replaced in this position by the Catalan academy coach Arnau Blanco.
Alcantara announced his retirement on July 8 at the age of 33 and became Hans-Dieter Flick's assistant at Barcelona during the pre-season tour of the United States. In the 2019/20 season, Alcantara, who was playing for German Bayern at the time, won the treble under Flick.
Alcantara is a product of Barcelona, and as part of the «blue garnets» he became the winner of the Champions League, four-time champion of Spain, two-time winner of the Cup and Super Cup of the country, also to the Spaniard's assets is the UEFA Super Cup and victory in the Club World Cup.
