The budget SUV of the Korean brand is offered with a gasoline aspirated, plus you can choose a dual-fuel version. The drive is only front.
Hyundai began to reveal its new cross under the name Exter back in the spring, but now a full-fledged presentation has finally taken place. The debut and main market for the model was India, where production was launched, and subsequently the SUV will most likely reach other developing countries. The five-door is positioned as an entry-level SUV, which is mainly aimed at young people.
The Exter is based on the Indian hatchback Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, although the cross still has an original body and its own exterior design. By the way, outwardly, the SUV has something in common with the next generation Hyundai Santa Fe (not yet presented, but we have already seen the older SUV in spy photos). From the common — a radiator grille in the form of a wide die and LED letters H built into the optics (the «Indian» has running lights and brake lights in the form of these letters). Other features of the Exter are «protective» plates on the bumpers, square wheel arches, embossed inserts in the rear roof pillars and on the tailgate. The novelty is based on 14- or 15-inch wheels.

Hyundai Exter length is 3815 mm, width — 1710 mm, height — 1631 mm, wheelbase — 2450 mm. Except for the length and height, in general, the Hyundai SUV is close to our «off-road» station wagon Lada Granta Cross (4148/1700/1560 mm, axle distance — 2476 mm). Passport ground clearance of the Exter is 185 mm versus 198 mm for the Grants-crossover.Inside, the SUV repeated the related Grand i10 Nios hatch, except that the novelty has different color schemes, and the cross got digital devices instead of analog ones. «In the base» there are six airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors and conventional air conditioning. Starting with the second most senior configuration, diode DRLs and a multimedia system with an 8-inch screen appear. “Rich” versions are also a rear-view camera, climate control, a “leather” interior, an electric sunroof and cruise control. Well, the top-end Hyundai Exter, in addition, has a full-time DVR with a dual camera (the second is directed to the salon) and wireless charging for a smartphone.

Hyundai Exter offered with a petrol four-cylinder aspirated 1.2 with a power of 83 hp, you can also choose a dual-fuel option, while the return on methane is only 69 hp. (Hatch Grand i10 Nios has similar motors). Both engines are combined with a five-speed «mechanics», purely gasoline can still be paired with a robotic box. The drive is exclusively front. Note that all Exter versions have drum rear brakes.
For a basic SUV, they ask for 599,900 rupees , which is equivalent to approximately 670,000 rubles at the current exchange rate. The same Granta Cross in the Russian Federation today costs from 837,900 rubles. However, the top-end Hyundai Exter will already cost 999,990 rupees, which is about 1,118,000 rubles (the most expensive cross-station wagon Grant costs 919,900 rubles).
