The presentation of a fully electric SUV will take place as part of the Munich Motor Show this autumn.
The British brand Mini belongs to the Bavarian company BMW. Soon she is going to expand her lineup due to new items: her role will be played by the Aceman crossover, which in the brand hierarchy will take its place between the three-door hatchback and the Countryman SUV. In concept status, this SUV was introduced about a year ago, in July 2022. And now the manufacturer continues to test the future novelty.

The Mini Aceman show car was intended to show the brand's design direction. Then it became known that the company intends to bring it to a commercial version. Recall that the overall length of the concept is 4050 mm, width — 1990 mm, and height — 1590 mm; the distance between the axles was not disclosed during the premiere.
The show car was also equipped with a body kit around the perimeter bodies made of unpainted plastic, «squared» arch extensions, 20-inch wheels, frameless doors with recessed handles. This Mini Aceman received a plug in place of the traditional grille with a luminous border, a small air intake and fully matrix optics.
The interior is trimmed with fabric (even the front panel), an image is projected onto it, including instrument readings and a navigator. In the center is the touchscreen of the multimedia system of the «branded» round shape, while using the new Mini OS, created on the basis of Android. The technical characteristics of Aceman were kept secret by the manufacturer. Now Mini continues to develop the serial version of the new crossover: the Aceman prototype continues a series of summer road tests. A portion of the «spy» photos of new items shared with us colleagues from the Spanish edition of Motor.es. The test car is hidden behind a masking film with a fun, colorful print. This camouflage hides most of the exterior, although some details can still be seen.In the photo: the interior of the Mini Aceman prototype
Judging by the pictures, the car retained the silhouette of the concept, it also has the same head optics, but the air intake integrated into the lower part of the front bumper received a narrower, but horizontally elongated shape, and it has a jumper in the center. Probably, the model retained a body kit around the perimeter of the body and taillights. The electric car has a spoiler on the top of the tailgate, and you can see the usual roof rails on the roof.
Photo spies managed to shoot the interior of the novelty, but it was also hidden with the help of disguise. The panoramic roof is visible, and there is a cut-out in the center of the front panel for controls for the infotainment system and other functions. The Mini Aceman is supposed to have a head-up display.
According to preliminary data, the serial crossover will share the “stuffing” with the Mini Cooper Electric. So, the base Aceman E will be equipped with a single 178-horsepower electric motor mounted on the front axle, as well as a 40 kWh traction battery; the power reserve on one charge for this version will be 300 km (when calculated according to the WLTP cycle). The Aceman SE variant is likely to have a 218-horsepower engine and a 54 kWh battery; it is expected that its range will be equal to 400 km.
The electric SUV will debut at the Munich Motor Show this fall, and the Mini Aceman will most likely go on sale closer to mid-2024.
