The coolest Chery Tiggo 8 received a «champion» series and a new machine

In fact, one of the many varieties of the G8 has moved into the new model year, but the previous configurations are still in service .

Last year, the already extensive Chery Tiggo 8 family was replenished in China with a version with the Pro prefix (it is not sold in the Russian Federation yet, we have our own Pro-crossover): this is the most luxurious modification, besides she has a completely different exterior design. So now such a SUV is presented at home in a new series, which was called the Champion Edition.

There are practically no external differences from last year's Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, colored decorative inserts could be ordered before. In the cabin, they only changed the finishing materials. But the configurations were shaken up: in some versions of the “champion” Tiggo 8 Pro, there was less equipment, in others, on the contrary, more. For example, the basic cross of the new series is devoid of side airbags and air curtains, in addition, instead of a surround view system, it is only equipped with a rear view camera.

But the Tiggo 8 Pro Champion Edition has a technical update: cars with a 2.0 TGDI petrol turbo four (254 hp, 390 Nm) come not only with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, but also with a classic eight-speed automatic. Also, the crossover is still available with a 1.6 TGDI turbo engine (197 hp, 290 Nm) and 7DCT. All-wheel drive is provided for the model with a two-liter engine.

The Tiggo 8 Pro range still has a rechargeable hybrid version, and this modification also acquired a «champion» series, although the hybrid technique was not touched: it has a 1.5 turbo engine, the total output is 326 hp

Pure gasoline Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Champion Edition costs about 17,600 — 22,700 dollars, a hybrid will cost somewhere between 19,100 — 22,100 dollars. The previous configurations are not removed from sale, the Tiggo 8 Pro of the previous model year costs from $18,500.
