Manhart Performance is rapidly expanding its recently launched classic car tuning program with the MH3 3.5 Turbo coupe based on the BMW M3 E30 with a number of technical and visual improvements.
The first-born of the Manhart Classic Cars program was the Italian hot hatch Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V, and now the specialists from Wuppertal turned to their favorite BMW brand and one of its best creations — the compact and nimble BMW M3 of the E30 generation, which was produced from 1986 to 1991. In stock, this model was equipped with a 4-cylinder naturally aspirated S14 engine with a displacement of 2.3-2.5 liters, depending on the modification, on the road versions of the car it produced up to 238 hp

At the time of the premiere back in 1981, the Alpina B7 S Turbo was the most powerful and fastest road sedan in the world: equipped with a KKK K27 turbocharger, an in-line 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine produced 330 hp here. and 500 Nm.
It seemed to Manhart specialists that this was not enough, and after an upgrade, the details of which were not disclosed, the output of the Alpina engine increased to 405 hp. and 650 Nm. In the cabin, a boost pressure regulator appeared on the central tunnel, which allows you to limit power, all of it is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox and a Drexler differential with 25 percent blocking. The differential case has its own cooling radiator.

The Alpina engine also received a new Manhart exhaust system. H&R shock absorbers appeared in the suspension. The front axle is fitted with 330mm perforated disc brakes with Brembo 4-piston fixed calipers. The rear brakes are stock with floating calipers, but the discs are perforated here too. Openwork black Manhart Concave One wheels with red rims are shod with low-profile 215/35 R 19 tires at the front and 245/30 R 19 at the rear.
A visual upgrade also includes a carbon fiber front spoiler and an adjustable rear BMW M3 E30 Sport Evolution style wing, matte dark green paint, red bumper inserts, tinted taillights, Manhart nameplates and decals.

1/3 2/3 3/3The price of the Manhart MH3 3.5 Turbo has not been announced, but it's a six-figure euro anyway. Meanwhile, it’s not just Manhart that is refining the E30-generation BMW M3: last year we talked about a 420-horsepower restomod from the Swedish workshop Johns Garage made on the basis of this classic model.
