Russian automobile concern «AvtoVAZ» is already testing a more productive variation of the Lada Niva Legend SUV. This is stated in the public «Avtograd News» in the social network «VKontakte». An off-road vehicle was for the first time equipped with a VAZ-11182 power unit with a 90 hp output, which is already used in the Granta, Vesta and Largus models.
According to a public that does not disclose its sources , today at the test site, located near the village of Sosnovka, two such models are being tested. Externally, these SUVs do not stand out from standard models. All the changes are related to the engine compartment, where manual modifications of the engine mounting brackets were created as part of the welding process.
There is no information yet about when the 90-horsepower variation of the Lada Niva Legend SUV will be officially launched on the production line. It is worth recalling that in July 2023 AvtoVAZ dealers offered «improved» Niva Legend options with additional factory sound insulation.
