Despite the fact that the brand began to produce Chinese cars under its own logo, the Russian auto giant has its own direction of development. Dmitry Avdeenko, an expert in the automotive industry, shared his opinion on the possible ways of this development in an interview with SPEEDME.RU.
Given the growing popularity of electric and hybrid vehicles, LADA may introduce its own electric models, covering both the segment of small city cars and larger crossovers and sedans. With higher standards of environmental safety, AVTOVAZ can focus on creating more environmentally friendly vehicles, including models powered by hydrogen fuel cells and other alternative energy sources.
With the development of autonomous technologies, LADA can integrate autopilot functions and an improved security system into future models. An important aspect will also be the evolution of multimedia systems, which has already been demonstrated by the release of the new LADA Vesta. The company can develop modern complexes connected to the Internet and ensuring the interaction of cars with each other.
The design of LADA cars can become more modern, innovative and recognizable. Influenced by Chinese partners, future models may receive aerodynamic shapes, advanced materials, and LED lighting systems.
With increasing interest in car sharing and customization, AVTOVAZ may introduce rental programs that allow users to choose cars based on their needs and preferences.
AVTOVAZ is also considering entering new segments such as compact crossovers, electric microcars or specialized urban vehicles.
It should be remembered that these are only hypothetical assumptions, and the final direction depends on the strategic decisions of LADA and changes in the automotive market, Dmitry Avdeenko believes.
