The updated Geely Coolray crossover starts in Russia: prices announced

The compact SUV has been transformed both outside and inside. In addition, the turbo-three was replaced by a four-cylinder turbo engine.

The Russian office of the brand officially announced the modernized Geely Coolray at the end of September. Now the price list has been published, dealers have begun accepting orders. The SUV was brought to us after the second restyling, that is, the 2022 model (at home this model is called Binyue Cool). At the same time, the original cross is still in service in the Russian Federation, and it is presented in two forms: we are talking about Coolray and Belgee X50 directly. The first cross will soon leave our market, but the second will be sold in parallel with the updated SUV. Let us remind you that Belgee is the own brand of the Belarusian joint venture Belgee, which produces SUVs. Well, Geely Coolray with a new design is apparently supplied to Russia directly from China.

The crossover has new headlights and taillights, and the radiator grille, bumpers, hood and tailgate have also been replaced. The length of the new Geely Coolray is 4380 mm, width – 1810 mm, height – 1615 mm. For comparison, the dimensions of the previous Russian cross (and Belgee X50): 4330/1800/1609 mm. The wheelbase has not changed (2600 mm), as has the ground clearance (180 mm). Inside there is a new front panel, steering wheel, central tunnel, door cards and joystick box. The instrument panel is now visually integrated with the multimedia system screen, although these are still two separate displays. Instead of a climate control unit with washers, there is a row of buttons.

As in its homeland, in Russia Geely Coolray replaced the 1.5 turbocharged engine with a turbofour of the same volume. On our SUV, the new engine produces 147 hp. and 270 Nm, while the power of the previous engine in the Russian Federation is 150 hp. (but the torque is lower — 255 Nm). In China, the four-cylinder 1.5T is tuned to 181 hp. and 290 Nm. The crossover still has a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. Front-wheel drive only, there is a driving mode selection system (Sport, Comfort, Eco and Adaptive). It is stated that our restyled SUV will hit the first “hundred” in 8.1 seconds, with a top speed of 195 km/h. The performance of the pre-reform Coolray with a turbo engine is 8.4 seconds and 190 km/h. The fuel consumption of the updated SUV in the combined cycle will be 6.1 l/100 km versus 6.4 l/100 km for the pre-restyling one.

In our market, the modernized Geely Coolray is available in four trim levels: Comfort, Luxury, Flagship and Exclusive. Compared with its predecessor, the basic version has become richer: heated rear seats have been added (the cheapest pre-reform Coolray only has heated front seats), a heated steering wheel and “leather” upholstery. The Comfort version also includes 17-inch wheels, LED DRLs built into the headlights, a digital monochrome instrument panel and a multimedia system (10.25 and 12.3 inches, respectively, the previous crossover has smaller screens), an electromechanical parking brake with the AutoHold hold function, exchange rate stability system, a pair of airbags, a start-stop system, an engine start button, a rear view camera, cruise control.

The Luxury version includes 18-inch black wheels, a panoramic sunroof, electric folding exterior mirrors, a color virtual instrument cluster, side airbags and a keyless entry system. The Flagship version includes vertical running lights in the bumper, red brake calipers, a black roof, a spoiler, a rain sensor, an electric tailgate, wireless charging for a smartphone, upholstery with suede inserts, metal pedals, a standard video recorder, curtain airbags, and all-round cameras. , parking attendant, adaptive cruise control, auto braking systems, lane marking monitoring and blind spot monitoring. Finally, the top version of Exclusive was distinguished by two-tone wheels of an original design and an exclusive body color “Lilac Mother of Pearl”.

The price of the updated Geely Coolray Comfort is 2,594,990 rubles, version Luxury — 2,704,990 rubles, Coolray Flagship will cost 2,904,990 rubles, and the top-end Exclusive option costs 2,934,990 rubles. The pre-reform Coolray costs 2,329,990 – 2,739,990 rubles, and the price of the Belgee X50 SUV now varies from 2,255,990 to 2,465,990 rubles. All prices do not include promotions and special offers.
