A defector who defected from the SNP to the Tories. is not honest about the reasons she crossed the floor, the Nationalist minister said.
Mairi Macallan, Scotland's transport and net zero minister, said she was «finding it hard to believe anything», Lisa Cameron said .
She said the MP's claims of «toxic and intimidating» treatment from her colleagues were «a little hard to swallow» and highlighted leaked footage of Ms Cameron blaming the Tories for austerity just days before she defected.
Although Ms Macallan insisted she did not believe the MP's arguments, she questioned whether the public should listen to someone «so willing to take two very different public positions in such a short period of time.»
But the Tories accused Ms Macallan of being «totally tone deaf» and of «a rude reaction to the ordeal Lisa went through.»
'Hard to swallow'
In a leaked report presented at the conference SNP, unsatisfactory party complaints were discovered. The process has caused «increasing injustice and harm» to some of its participants and should be reviewed.

The SNP has announced that Grant Costello, an SNP staffer, was chosen by the local party just hours after Ms Cameron defected to the Tories.
The Daily Record then published leaked footage of the candidate's election campaign two weeks earlier, in which she attacked the Tories and said: «I I want to work in the SNP team. I want to unite everyone.”
Ms Macallan said: «I know Lisa Cameron personally, our constituencies overlap to some extent and I personally wish her no harm.» But I find it difficult to believe anything that anyone… then he says when one minute the video says the Tories pulled Scotland out of the EU and we need independence, and the next breath they are joining the Conservative and Unionist parties.
She said she did not know details about Ms Cameron's mental health but insisted Keith Brown, deputy leader, and Stephen Flynn, leader of the Scottish National Party's Westminster party, had «reached out to Lisa and tried to support her.»Craig Hoy, the Scottish Tory chairman, said: “Mairi Macallan is the latest SNP politician to turn a completely tone-deaf response to Lisa Cameron's defection.
“To say that she finds it difficult to believe in her is a harsh response to the trials that Lisa went through.
“It is clear that the Scottish National Party Transport Secretary, like many of her colleagues, would prefer to smear her now former colleague rather than openly voice her concerns.
“Mairi Macallan should I think the public is buttoned up when she claims there is no toxic culture in her party's Westminster group.»
