The starting recommended retail price of a refreshed SUV of the Chinese brand in the Russian Federation is 2,594,990 rubles, for the top version they ask for at least 2,934,990 rubles.
The local representative office of Geely officially announced the updated Coolray for the Russian market in the second half of September 2023, and the price list was published at the beginning of this month, at which time brand dealers began collecting pre-orders. Today, the Russian office announced the start of sales of a new product: we are talking about a 2022 SUV (that is, the result of the second restyling of the model). Let us remind you that in the home market this SUV was named Binyue Cool.

During the recent update, the crossover received modified taillights and head optics, a radiator grill of a different shape with a mesh pattern, other stampings on the hood, bumpers, a large air intake and a differently designed tailgate. The starting version is equipped with LED running lights, turn signal repeaters in the exterior mirror housings, roof rails and 17-inch alloy wheels.
As Kolesa.ru reported earlier, the length of the refreshed Coolray stretched to 4380 mm (50 mm more than its predecessor), in width – up to 1810 mm (10 mm more), in height – up to 1615 mm (6 mm more). The distance between the axles remains the same — 2600 mm, and the ground clearance has not changed — 180 mm.
The refreshed crossover has a new interior. This Geely Coolray received new door cards, a steering wheel (heated — already in the base), a front panel, a central tunnel, and a gearbox joystick. The virtual instrument cluster (10.25-inch diagonal) is visually integrated with the touchscreen of the infotainment system (12.3-inch), but these are still two separate screens. The washers of the climate control unit were replaced with a row of buttons. The sound system includes six speakers.

The list of basic equipment of the new SUV includes front airbags, anti-lock brakes with distribution function braking forces, electronic stability control system. In addition, the updated Coolray was equipped with various driver assistants, an immobilizer, an anti-theft alarm and tire pressure sensors.
The Luxury variant is distinguished by 18-inch black alloy wheels, a panoramic roof with a sunroof and an electric drive. The Flagship version can be visually distinguished by red brake calipers, a black roof and front pillars “to match”, and a spoiler on the tailgate. This Coolray has a rain sensor, additional front parking sensors, all-round cameras with a “transparent chassis” function, and wireless charging for smartphones. The top version got two-tone wheels and a special body color.

During the restyling, the Geely Coolray changed its “filling”: the place of the 1.5-liter turbo-three was taken by a turbo-four of the same volume. The power of the new engine in Russian specification is 147 hp, and the maximum torque is 270 Nm (the predecessor has 150 hp and 255 Nm). The pair still offers a seven-speed preselective automatic transmission with two “wet” clutches. Drive is front-wheel drive only. The refreshed SUV takes 8.1 seconds to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h, and its top speed is 195 km/h. For comparison, the pre-reform model has 8.4 seconds and 190 km/h.
The updated Geely Coolray is available in the Russian Federation in four versions — the starting Comfort (recommended retail price is 2,594,990 rubles), Luxury (2,704,990 rubles), Flagship (2,904,990 rubles) and the top-end Exclusive (2,934,990 rubles). The cars are available for purchase in the showrooms of the Chinese brand.
It is worth recalling that the pre-reform crossover is not leaving the Russian market, and for now it is presented as both the Geely Coolray and the Belgee X50: the first the model will soon leave the Russian Federation, and the second will be offered simultaneously with the refreshed SUV.
