The Chinese four-door will arrive in the Russian Federation with an uncontested naturally aspirated engine and two gearboxes. The new product will be offered in four trim levels.
In its native China, the current Geely Emgrand sedan debuted in 2021; the brand itself considers it the fourth generation (in Russia, previous cars were sold under the names EC7 and Emgrand 7). The four-door is a truly global model: it is represented in Latin America and the Middle East, and not so long ago Emgrand reached Belarus and Kazakhstan. Well, now the sedan has been officially announced for the Russian market.
The current Emgrand is built on the BMA platform, which also underlies the Geely Coolray SUV, which is well known to Russians. The dimensions of our four-door have not yet been revealed, but most likely they are the same as cars in other countries. Length – 4638 mm, width – 1822 mm, height – 1460 mm, wheelbase – 2650 mm. Thus, the “Chinese” is comparable to the Kia Cerato. The passport ground clearance of the export Geely Emgrand is 152 mm. Trunk volume – 500 liters.
In Russia, the model will be available with a 1.5 petrol aspirated with direct injection, the engine produces 122 hp. The new Emgrand will be offered with a five-speed manual or a classic six-speed automatic with torque converter. Note that in Gili’s homeland there is no 6-automatic transmission; there the sedan is equipped with a CVT.
Four configurations are announced for our Geely Emgrand. The basic Standard has 15-inch steel wheels, halogen headlights, LED DRLs, heated and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, fabric upholstery, steering wheel adjustment for reach and height, air conditioning, analogue instrumentation with a 3.5-inch screen, multimedia system with 8-inch inch display, a pair of airbags and an electronic stability control system. The Comfort version includes heated windshield washer nozzles, rear parking sensors, heated front seats, a USB connector for second-row passengers, single-zone climate control, a keyless entry system and an engine start button, an electromechanical parking brake with a function to hold the car in place.

The Luxury package includes 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a heated windshield in the windshield wiper rest area, a heated steering wheel (the steering wheel itself is leather), a rear view camera and cruise control. Finally, the arsenal of the top-end Geely Emgrand Flagship includes 17-inch wheels, an electric sunroof with a curtain, a leather interior, electrically adjustable driver's seat, a 12.3-inch diagonal virtual instrument panel and a multimedia tablet of the same size, side airbags and curtain airbags, contactless trunk opening.
The sedan will go on sale in the near future, prices have not yet been announced. The Emgrand will probably be the cheapest model of the Geely brand. In the meantime, this title belongs to the pre-reform Coolray SUV — from 2,329,990 rubles (excluding shares). By the way, in the Russian Federation they sell another version of the pre-restyling cross, only this is no longer a Geely, but a Belarusian-made Belgee X50 (from 2,255,990 rubles, again, excluding discounts).
