UFA, June 3 The prosecutor's office of Chuvashia organized an inspection due to reports that in one of the schools students were forced to undress during a search before the Unified State Exam, reported on Telegram -channel of the supervisory agency.
“Before the unified state examination in the Yalchik secondary school of the Chuvash Republic, when carrying out activities related to the admission of students to the building, authorized persons performed control functions aimed at preventing the bringing of prohibited items into the educational institution. According to publications on the Internet, employees of the examination point were allowed violations,» the release says.
According to the Mash Telegram channel, before the Russian language exam, schoolchildren had to undress in front of a security guard almost down to their underwear. Some girls and boys complained to their parents that during the inspection they were forced to take off their belts and lift up their shirts.
The prosecutor's office promised to give a legal assessment of the actions of those responsible for organizing the exam and take action if violations are confirmed.
Now employees of the supervisory agency are studying recordings from school CCTV cameras, requesting documents and talking with teachers.
Minister of Education of Chuvashia Dmitry Zakharov added that his department will conduct an official investigation.
Last week, a similar incident occurred at Voronezh school No. 62. According to eyewitnesses, girls were forced to take off their bras and lift their T-shirts during a search for phones , shirts, “almost everyone was groped.” The regional government later stated that it had conducted an internal investigation and found no violations of ethical standards when admitting schoolchildren to the exam, and there were no complaints from students. Nevertheless, the regional headquarters of the Investigative Committee and the local prosecutor's office began inspections. The school director then resigned.
