UFA, June 6 Law enforcement officers of Bashkortostan detained a man who drove four pensioners off a bench near the entrance to a house, beating them with a stick in Neftekamsk, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region reported.
Earlier, footage of the incident, recorded by a Ufanet surveillance camera, appeared on social networks. In it, a man, using foul language, tries to drive elderly women off a bench, and then begins to beat them with a stick. A pensioner who tried to protect the ladies also got it.
The police conducted a search for the man. «The instigator of the conflict has been identified. He turned out to be a 61-year-old resident of the city of Neftekamsk. The man had been repeatedly brought to administrative responsibility over the course of a year for appearing in public places in a state of intoxication. He has now been detained,» the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Bashkortostan commented to the agency.
