Exeed RX in Russia received a classic automatic and something else

The crossover is offered in a new configuration, which is distinguished not only by the presence of a different box, but also by an expanded list of equipment.

< p>The Exeed RX SUV (the Exeed brand belongs to Chery) entered the Russian market last year with a 2.0 petrol turbo engine (249 hp, 385 Nm), a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches (7DCT) and all-wheel drive. And now the local office of the brand has announced the start of sales of a crossover with a new gearbox – a classic eight-speed Aisin automatic transmission. Note that in its native China, the model has long been available with both 7DCT and 8AT.

As before, in Russia the Exeed RX is exclusively all-wheel drive; in addition, the crossover has an adaptive suspension. It is stated that the model with 8AT will reach the first “hundred” in 8.6 seconds, while the five-door with 7DCT will complete this exercise in 7.6 seconds. The maximum speed is the same for all options — 200 km/h.

At the moment, the Exeed RX with 8AT is offered in the only and most luxurious Premium trim level. When compared with the previous top version Platinum 7DCT, the list of equipment of the new version was supplemented by an electric steering column drive (in height and reach) and a massage function for the driver’s seat (previously it was only available for the front passenger seat). The rest of the equipment is identical to the Platinum: Nappa upholstery, ventilation of the second row seats, ionization and aromatization of the air in the cabin, an ottoman with electrical adjustment for the front passenger, a warning system for the rapid approach of another car.

All three versions of the RX (the initial one is called Prestige) also have a panoramic roof, heated windshield and windshield washer nozzles, heated steering wheel and all seats, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, combined virtual instrumentation and touchscreen multimedia system, wireless charging for a smartphone, all-round cameras, adaptive cruise control, auto braking systems, lane keeping, blind spot monitoring and traffic jam assistance.

Recommended price for Exeed RX Premium 8AT – 5,550,000 rubles. The Platinum 7DCT version now costs 5,450,000 rubles, and the basic crossover RX Prestige 7DCT will cost 5,150,000 rubles (prices do not include promotions).
