The expedition participants will identify previously discovered objects that sank during the Great Patriotic War — the schooner boat «Samoyed», the patrol ship SKR-70, the American transport «Kentucky», the barque «Lomonosov», and the cargo steamer «Vishera».
«In addition, the expedition will carry out a research program — geophysical research will be carried out, as well as surveying of the bottom topography. Based on the results of underwater archaeological research, 3D models of objects will be created and subsequently posted on the GIS portal “Russia – from sea to sea,” the navy explained.
According to the results of the third season of the “Remember the War” expedition, the minesweepers T-883 and T-889 were discovered in 2023, and the location of the sinking of the research vessel “Perseus” was determined. «, the Airacobra aircraft was lifted.
