MOSCOW, June 7 The family of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Anastasia Zavorotnyuk stated that the actress was never in a hospice during her illness — the actress’s husband Pyotr Chernyshov could not allow this to happen.
Zavorotnyuk died on May 30 at the age of 53 after a long illness. The farewell to the actress took place in the Pokrovsky Monastery, Zavorotnyuk was buried in the Alley of Artists at the Troekurovsky Cemetery.

«Our Nastya was never in a hospice, Peter would never have allowed this under any circumstances,» — says a post published on Zavorotnyuk’s official account on the social network.
The actress’s relatives also thanked all the doctors, specialists and staff of the clinic where Zavorotnyuk was treated. According to the artist’s relatives, thanks to these people, “she had these five years.”
«Separately, today we want to thank the best doctors and all the wonderful staff of the best clinic… Thank you to everyone who never asked any questions and literally understood by their eyes whether your help was needed. For your sensitivity, concern, professionalism, for all the great and important work — many thanks to the entire team! <…> Over the years, you have all become our family,” the message adds.
Anastasia Zavorotnyuk was born on April 3, 1971 in Astrakhan. She became famous for her role as nanny Vika in the TV series «My Fair Nanny». The actress also starred in such films as «Mashenka», «The Apocalypse Code», «Office Romance. Our Time». In 1993-2004, Zavorotnyuk played at the Oleg Tabakov Theater. She played roles in the plays «Passion for Bumbarash» (Varya), «An Ordinary Story» (Nadenka), «Biloxi Blues» (Dezzy), «Sailor's Silence» (Tanya), «The Myth of Don Juan» (Zhanet), «Farewell… and Applaud» (Marina), «Confessions of the Adventurer Felix Krull» (Eleanor Twentyman) and others. In 2006, Zavorotnyuk was awarded the title of «Honored Artist of the Russian Federation».
In 2019, the actress was diagnosed with glioblastoma. She stopped appearing at social events and maintaining social networks. Her daughter Anna occasionally wrote about how she was feeling in her blog. She also confirmed her mother's death.
