Now all versions of the German “green” minivan are equipped with a 286-horsepower electric motor located on the rear axle.
Fully electric single-volume Volkswagen ID. Buzz and ID. Buzz Cargo debuted in March 2022, and the “charged” all-wheel drive version of the passenger version — with the addition of GTX to the name — was declassified in March of this year. Now the German manufacturer has talked about the refreshed ID. Buzz Pro with new batteries and its “stretched” version.

Volkswagen ID. The Buzz Pro with an extended wheelbase (in the title photo) is equipped with a more powerful version of the “filling”: we are talking about a 286-horsepower electric motor, which is located on the rear axle. Another option by default received a new, more capacious 86 kWh battery, like that of the recently debuted Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX. The long wheelbase version has ID. Buzz Pro range on a single charge varies from 453 to 487 km depending on the configuration (when calculated using the WLTP cycle).
The “stretched” ID. Buzz Pro axle distance is 3239 mm (250 mm more than the standard version), and overall length is 4962 mm (more by the same 250 mm). The increased length made it possible to place up to seven seats in the cabin (layout — 2/3/2). The front doors have been widened by 60 mm, and the side sliding door openings have been widened by 190 mm.
The five-seater version of the Volkswagen ID. Buzz Pro Long Wheelbase has a maximum boot capacity of 1,340 liters (loaded to the top of the rear seatbacks). The seven-seater modification of this model has 306 liters. With the backrests of all five seats in the second and third rows folded, the volume of the cargo compartment increases to 2469 liters.
Now ID. The standard-wheelbase Buzz Pro can be had in a six-seat (2/2/2) configuration, having previously only been available in a five-seat version. This option is also equipped with a new traction battery with a capacity of 79 kWh, and its maximum range on a single charge varies from 423 to 461 km.

It is reported that all versions of ID. Buzz Pro with a 79 kWh battery can use DC fast charging stations up to 185 kW (the pre-reform version has 170 kW), and 200 kW is available for a more capacious battery. In both cases, replenishment from 10 to 80% takes less than 30 minutes.

During the update to all versions of Volkswagen ID. Buzz has optimized the software and hardware. The diagonal of the touchscreen of the infotainment system is now 12.9 inches (instead of 12.0 inches in the pre-reform version). A backlit touch panel has also appeared, used to control the temperature and volume of the speakers. The list of electronic driver assistants has been expanded.
Updated Volkswagen ID. Buzz Pro, including its long wheelbase version, is already available for order in the European market. Note that in the summer, “charged” ID modifications will reach dealers. Buzz GTX.
