A new art space has been opened in the center of Krasnodar

A unique project was created by the artist Georgy Kurinov, commissioned by the developer AVA. A graffiti wall 100 m long and 4 m high was installed near the AVrorA residential complex in the very center of Krasnodar. Today it is the largest open access street art gallery in Russia.

This is not just a whole block contemporary street art, and a new point of attraction in the capital of Kuban. It’s safe to say that it will become a popular location for photo and video sessions, both personal and advertising. There is enough space here to park a car, install equipment and stage a real performance.

There is no street art on such a scale in any city in Europe or Russia. The AVrorA residential complex is the center of Krasnodar, next to Krasnaya Street, where there are always a lot of young people and tourists. Initially, the old fence of the trolleybus depot was located here, and we decided that it would be wise not just to improve it, but to create in its place an example of modern urban aesthetics, bringing in the style of a big city,” said Alexey Samovich, director of the developer AVA in Krasnodar.

< p class="doc__text">The creation of a street art gallery was entrusted to Krasnodar artist Georgy Kurinov. His works are known and popular all over the world, although there are not so many of them in Krasnodar yet.

— For me this is a unique project. Typically, large graffiti paintings are presented as murals on buildings. This is impressive, but not suitable for photo shoots. Here we managed to create a space that can be used for various creative purposes: I am sure that photos from here will be scattered throughout the country. I would also like to note that the AVA company built a completely new fence in accordance with my wishes as an artist,” noted Georgy Kurinov.

The paintings illustrate the change of seasons, images of winter smoothly transition to spring, summer and autumn with all the corresponding symbols and attributes. The street art gallery is located in the Central microdistrict of Krasnodar opposite the residential complex «AVrorA» and is open to everyone.
