Geely's Zeekr 7X crossover has lost its camouflage

As expected, the appearance of the new SUV is made in the style of the Zeekr 007 sedan. The manufacturer himself has not yet spoken about the technology. Most likely, she also switched from a four-door.

In bright camouflage, the new electric SUV of the Geely-owned Zeekr brand appeared earlier this week. Then the company published a “clean” teaser and announced the name of the cross – 7X. Well, now the exterior design is fully revealed. Let us remind you that the Zeekr 7X will be the sixth model in the range of the electric car brand and only the second SUV: it will join the junior crossover Zeekr X, the Zeekr 001 liftback, the Zeekr 007 sedan and the Zeekr 009 and Zeekr Mix vans.

The exterior was designed in the style of a four-door, which launched in China at the end of last year. Thus, the Zeekr 7X electric cross also received optics in the form of narrow stripes. At the same time, above the headlights, for an additional fee, there can also be a “light panel”, that is, a diode display: with its help, the SUV can greet its owner, plus simple drawings or symbols can be transferred from a tablet or smartphone to the panel. Other features of the 7X include retractable door handles, active flaps in the front bumper and a brand name lettering located directly on the trunk glass. The length of the new product is 4825 mm, width – 1930 mm, height – 1656 mm, wheelbase – 2925 mm.

Photographers visited the salon earlier. Inside, the crossover will also generally replicate the sedan: it will have separate screens for the instrument panel and multimedia system. But the steering wheel is its own, three-spoke (the Zeekr 007 has a two-spoke steering wheel).

It was officially announced that the crossover is built on the SEA platform. It is quite possible that, like the Zeekr 007, the model is based on a variation of this “trolley” — PMA2+. The Chinese also write that the Zeekr 7X has an 800-volt electrical system and optional air suspension.

Zeekr 007 is presented in two versions: the basic one has one electric motor on the rear axle with a power of 422 hp, expensive versions have dual-motor all-wheel drive, the total output is 646 hp. The “Seven” is offered with batteries with a capacity of 75 and 100 kWh, the range varies from 616 to 870 km on the CLTC cycle.

The Zeekr 7X crossover is expected to go on sale in the fall. No prices yet. The Zeekr 007 electric sedan now costs from 209,900 yuan, which is equivalent to approximately 2.5 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
